here’s what other people have to say…

Quain is an exceptional playwright with both message and vision in her arsenal, in addition to having the ability to express this in an intriguing and hair-raising fashion... Quain crafts tight twist after daring turn throughout this thrilling exploration and takes a visceral examination at what happens when chaos and destruction reign in place of order and logic... Astonishingly detailed, Quain exposes raw vulnerabilities and ugly truths about each of the characters.
— Amanda Gunther, Theatre Bloom

Short, very official bio:

AMANDA QUAIN is a writer, indie bookseller, and general life enthusiast. When she’s not shouting about her favorite new books, she loves theatre, baking, rock climbing, marching band, and the overall pursuit of adventure. If forced to choose, Amanda’s favorite Austen hero is Edward Ferrars, though she’ll always have a soft spot for Mr. Bingley. She lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and her cat. She is the author of ACCOMPLISHED and GHOSTED.

Longer, more rambling bio:

AMANDA QUAIN was born in Orlando, Florida, which means that she has a strong affinity for cartoon mice and a healthy respect for alligators that make their way into swimming pools. She’s moved up and down the east coast for most of her life, staying close to the water whenever she can. She attended Cornell University, graduating with a bachelor’s of science (really!) in 2013, before she began a string of the world’s strangest jobs that will undoubtedly make their way into her fiction. This includes roles as a Disney performer, tavern wench, Segway tour guide, and practice patient for medical students. Eventually, though, she made her way into the indie bookstore world and has been working with One More Page Books ever since, juggling the worlds of indie bookselling, publishing, and theatre.

Along the way, she was always writing, and sold her first book, ACCOMPLISHED, in the fall of 2020. It released in 2022, followed by GHOSTED in 2023 - and her third novel, DASHED, will be available 7/16/24! You can buy it everywhere (and request it at your local library!) so there’s really no excuse. Also, she lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband and their cat, but does remain, whole-heartedly, a fan of the Washington Capitals.
